We have MUCH to be thankful for and in awe of as we look back at all that the LORD did through us in 2013. We wanted to share some of these things with you so that we can worship Him together!

2013 Recap

January:

  • The Browns make the number of orphans ONE LESS by bringing home Emmanuel from Ghana!
  • Granted Home Again Ministry for a school building that reaches out to 100+ children
  • 1 year anniversary of working with Haven of Hope

February:

  • Ebenezer starts their own nursery school
  • The Nussas bring in 2 foster boys to live with them

March:

  • Presented and exhibited at Marked OKC
  • Sangaalo begins construction on sustainability project

April:

  • Amber visits Sangaalo and Ebenezer for checkups
  • Participated in Fair Trade Day at Oklahoma University
  • Granted first ever adoption grant!
  • Provided for building of church at Ebenezer

May:

  • HGI team attends Summit 9
  • Began partnering with Equip1 to better assist Ebenezer
  • 1 year anniversary of working with Sangaalo

July:

  • 1 year anniversary of working with Ebenezer
  • Amy Nussa steps away from HGI to focus on her family

August:

  • Purchased transportation for Sangaalo
  • Sent Haven of Hope family on fun day outing

September:

  • 1 year anniversary of Hope Grafted In!
  • Sangaalo begins church services on new land

October:

  • Led first HGI ministry trip to Uganda!
  • Purchased land for future permanent site of Ebenezer
  • Secured separate home for Ebenezer ministry leaders
  • Purchased transportation for Ebenezer

November:

  • 2nd annual Orphan Sunday event
  • Former partner Amy Nussa and husband adopt 2 from foster care!
  • Provided for building of widow’s house in Kibuku

December:

  • Provided for Ebenezer Christmas lunch for the community
  • Instituted an official board of directors
  • Matched 30 new sponsors with children
  • Reached 70 total sponsorships
  • Gave away over $75,000!
