Honoring our friend Vicki

We are broken hearted to share the news that our dear friend, Vicki, has passed away.

Vicki has been a part of HGI from the beginning. Over the past 12 years, she has served as a board member, invaluable volunteer staff member, and ministry champion. Vicki was the brains and fun behind the Deep Dish Pizza fundraisers. She dedicated countless volunteer hours to do all of the finances for HGI. When there were gaps in ministry, she was innovative and available always. She offered guidance and wisdom and never failed to put the needs of others first.

Vicki loved the trip she was able to go on in October of 2014 to Uganda. Interacting with our ministry directors and serving the children deepened her commitment to what we do.

She was always the first to speak up for others. Always the first to do the hard, thankless unseen jobs. She had a true servant’s heart.

We are so thankful to have had her in our lives and will forever miss her presence, her guidance, and her love. Please join us in praying for those who knew and loved Vicki as they walk the path of life here on earth without her. We are more than ever reminded of the hope of heaven and the peace that brings.

One of our ministry directors in Uganda, Pastor George wanted to share these words:
Dear Family,

I was very sorry to hear about the death of Vicki Moravec. I would like to offer my deepest sympathies on the loss former HGI board Member , a friend, a sister and God’s Servant. Although no words can really help to ease the loss our dear friend just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.

I know that I knew Vicki in a much less personal fashion, but she was a wonderful fount of wisdom, compassion and inspiration to me, especially during her time in of service with Hope Graftedin where we could communicate often.

I am praying for you to get through this time with the peace that comes from the knowledge that God loves you and that He will comfort and take care of you. Please accept my condolences. I will always be praying for you.
MAY HER SOUL REST IN ETERNAL PEACE

Sincerely,
Pr.George Kooli
