Haven Children’s Home – Land Development Progress Update

For over 15 years, Haven Family Palace Centre in Nakuru County has been a place of safety, love, and opportunity for vulnerable children. Today, 42 children call Haven home—yet the uncertainty of their rented property continues to highlight the urgent need for a permanent residence.

A Strong Start: Land Secured and Protected
The Haven Family is grateful to share that the land secured for the organization’s future is no longer vulnerable. A major milestone has been completed; the perimeter wall has been fully constructed, and the main gate successfully installed. This marks a significant step in safeguarding the property and preparing it for development.

Phase 1 Nearing Completion
Development continues to progress steadily. Phase 1—which includes the installation of electricity, construction of a site house for storage, and a caretaker’s room—is now almost complete. They are currently awaiting two final approvals before formally closing this phase.

Looking Ahead: Phase 2
Once approvals are secured, the Haven Family will move into Phase 2, the, foundation and structural development, of the children’s home. This next stage will bring the vision closer to reality—a safe, permanent, and nurturing environment designed to support up to 50 children.

Gratitude for Continued Support
The Haven Family extends sincere appreciation to all partners and supporters who continue to walk alongside them. Each milestone represents meaningful progress toward transforming the land into a secure and lasting sanctuary for children in need.

Through collective effort and shared vision, this project continues to build not only structures, but also hope, stability, and a brighter future.

If you feel led to donate toward the funding of phase 2, simply go to this link and choose “Haven Current Needs” from the drop-down menu. Leave a note in the comment section stating that the donation is for land development.
