Ebenezer Care Order Campaign—FULLY FUNDED!

Over the last several years, George and Sylvia (directors of Ebenezer Children’s Ministry) have been working diligently to build a trusting relationship of respect and rapport with the community members of Kibuku. Currently, they have established a children’s home, primary school, church, and women’s ministry in the community. Community members bring their problems, whether big or small, and lay them at George and Sylvia’s feet.

Sometimes community members are in need of financial assistance, medical assistance, or even simply prayer, companionship, and support. George and Sylvia have built an open door policy… if anyone needs help they know they can come at all hours and receive it! With this foundation of respect and trust built in Kibuku, George and Sylvia have taken in children to foster that cannot be adequately taken care of in their previous situations. They have given these children a safe place to sleep, education, food, love, and discipline. In order to continue doing so with dignity and pride, George and Sylvia need to apply for Care Orders for each child.

What are Care Orders? Care orders give legal permission, or “custody” as we know in the states, to raise the child. The Probation Officer and Social Worker will discuss this with each child’s next of kin. Once all information about the child has been gathered, a judge will grant the fostership or care to George & Sylvia IF he thinks it is in the best interest of the child. Once Care Orders have been granted, George and Sylvia have full responsibility of the child. They can freely make educational, medical, and welfare-based decisions for the child. These care orders are vital for George and Sylvia to continue to remain credible with their local government and trustworthy members of the community.
How Can You Help?

In order to establish Care Orders, Ebenezer Children’s Ministry will be charged $25 USD per child by the courts. Currently, 42 children are residing at the children’s home in Kibuku. Therefore, our goal is to provide $1,050 USD to Ebenezer in order to cover the cost! Together we can partner to make a lasting difference in these children’s lives!
