Sangaalo Monthly Update

A message from Damalie

Friends, the month of September is coming to an end and very glad to share with you all that has transpired within the month. Again God has been faithful to us as Sangaalo family. Much as there have been some isolated cases of minor sicknesses, God has protected the majority against sicknesses. He has also continued providing for the home.

The Children

As mentioned above, God has really protected our babies, much as there have been some few cases of minor illnesses, which have been managed. Children are doing well and those, especially new ones who were malnourished are doing much better. Autumn is starting to walk and it is such a great joy to see them lifting their feet to make the first, second, third and eventually many more steps until they firmly start walking and running. Faith has removed her tooth! She didn’t have an accident though. It is just a normal process for growth and development. We celebrate with their growing up!

We are so thankful for the funds given toward to the pavers and pavilion. Much work has been happening. We are anxious for the day the compound is completely paved and the children can enjoy a safe environment. The children are enjoying their meals and plays/games from their new pavilion. Every day they are eager to be guided into their new structure for meals, snacks and plays under the care of their loving foster mothers.

Sponsoring a Child

We are so thankful for our sponsors. We have many children who still need a sponsor. To find out more information, email us.

The Farm

We shared last month with you as one of our projects that it has been our desire that the farm is shifted from where it is currently to a different location in order to pave way for babies/children related activities. When God provided for a small piece of land, we had to keep praying for the financial provision so that we could start on the fencing and constructions and eventually shift the farm. I am indeed grateful for the financial donation from friends. With that, the project has kicked off.
The site has now been cleared, measurements taken, materials (concrete poles, aggregates, sand, cement, chain link, barbed wires, binding wires and others)have been procured right now the holes have all been dug and are now erecting poles. This is a very big step ahead and we are really thankful to those who donated. We still need financial support towards the farm projects in order to be able to move the animals and complete the project.

Projects/Current Needs

  • Completion of the paving project. Remaining NEED: $2500 More detailed info on this project.
  • Our other need is replace the torn beddings and have new ones bought, including a bunk bed Its our hearts desire that we keep everyone warm and healthy during this rainy season. We need an estimate of 2 million ug for this. THIS NEED HAS BEEN MET IN FULL
  • Build our farm. We need to move the farm from close to the baby home to our land nearby. Having the animals and all that comes with them so close is not healthy for our babies. We want to do this, but teh government also requires it if we are to keep the animals we already own and use to sustain our home. We own the land adjacent to the baby home and would like to move the farm there. TOTAL COST: $7400. REMAINING NEED: $2400
  1. Farm attendants quarters. $3100 Building plan & detailed info
  2. Cattle Pen $1300 Building plan & detailed info
  3. Pig House $1400 Building plan & detailed info
  4. Farm Fencing $1500 Building plan & detailed info

Give to Sangaalo’s needs. Thank you!

We thank God that our older kids have started school for their last term of this Year. Thank you our dear friends for your continuous hearts and prayers.

Be blessed always

Damalie
