HGI Launches Micro-loan Program

I think it’s safe to say that single parents around the world would testify that life is not easy. They are the sole provider for their families, physically, financially, and emotionally. As if this isn’t hard enough, suppose you live in a country where every day living is already a struggle only makes matters worse. Six out of every ten Kenyan women become single mothers before the age of 45. That’s over half of the women, providing for their families, ALONE.

Becoming a single parent doesn’t only come in one form. Some parents unfortunately leave their families and choose not to continue taking on their parental role. Other times, disease and illness strike, leaving a devastated family behind and one parent to continue to provide. Regardless of the situation, it is our plan to help vulnerable women and men in these unfortunate situations. These loans will be used in a variety of ways but the main goal is to support people in their journey of being a sole-provider for their family while providing them relationships and sharing the gospel of Jesus with them.

Pray for them, donate, support HGI in whichever way God has called you as we continue to reach others.

“Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28
