In case you have not already heard, our dear friend and treasured ministry partner Nelly, the director at Haven of Hope in Kenya, gave birth to her son prematurely a few days ago and suffered complications after his death. She has gone to be with Jesus. Please join us in praying for her husband Joseph, her 2 year old son Sean, and all her Haven children.
We have MUCH to be thankful for and in awe of as we look back at all that the LORD did through us in 2013. We wanted to share some of these things with you so that we can worship Him together! “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.” Psalm 29:2
The trip last week was not only meaningful for Hope Grafted In, but for me personally it was BIG. It had been 2 years since that first trip to Uganda and Kenya changed everything for me. This trip was the first time that I was able to visit 2 of our partner ministries in person. After working with them for many months, being with them was so meaningful. Recognizing the real relationship that we have together and how God has ordained our partnerships helped to refocus me both personally and in ministry.

At times ministry can be exciting and inspiring. At times it can be weary. Hope Grafted In is a blessing, a God-thing, and I am more passionate about it now then when God began this work over a year ago. But a ministry that has the ominous task of continuous fundraising and asking of others makes me grow weary at times.
New is really good in ministry. It not only brings fresh perspective to our humanness, but for Hope Grafted In, new is a direct reflection of our desire to always be moving within the will of God. We are ecstatic to announce the new addition of a part-time staff member beginning June 1st. Amber will now be working for Hope Grafted In…or maybe we should say receive monetary compensation on this earth for her work for Christ…because she has been working pretty hard all along!
