We are excited to give you an update from one of our adoption grant families…

We cannot even begin to express our gratitude for Hope Grafted In’s contribution towards our daughter Polevia coming home. God promised us as a young married couple in our early twenties that if we were obedient to the call to grow our family through adoption then He would provide the support we needed. That financial support came through extra jobs (6 at once at one point), crafts, coffee sales, art sales, jewelry sales, lemonade stands, t-shirts, and through the generous and thoughtful donors of Hope Grafted In. God also placed dozens of people in our lives who had traveled or were currently traveling this same journey of adoption who were able to give that moral support that we so desperately needed during our long wait.

After a 3 year wait for our referral, in April of 2015 we accepted the referral of a perfect 2 year old little girl with Down Syndrome from Samoa. We were told she was non verbal and not mobile. Now looking forward, she’s been home 3 months and has interrupted me while typing this paragraph about 2 dozen time by offering kisses, saying, and signing “I love you.” That same girl is also walking with the assistance of a walker and some ankle braces. Her therapist has confidence she will be walking independently very soon. God is good, His promises are true. Thank you so much for being sensitive to the call and selfless in the act and helping contribute to bringing Polevia into our family.

Adoption Grant note: Due to lack of funding, we have had to suspend our adoption grant program in 2016. We are hopeful that we can return to this program in the future and help more families fulfill their dream of adoption.
