Haven April Update

Dear Family and Friends,

I greet you all in the name of our lord Jesus Christ. It is always with great and sincere love that I write to you. Greetings from all our children, they send their love. We believe all is well with you and your families and pray that peace that comes from God guard your hearts and mind.

Our children closed school and they are progressing very well. I am working on how to be sending a school progress report for every child by collaborating with their teachers to keep you informed on their
academics. We are also very happy that our first term school fees were paid for by Hannah ( JONA e.V, NGO in Germany), we are so thankful.

Last month was a month full of fun and we hope you had fun too especially during the race. We had fun as we run from here to stand together with the vision and mission of HopeGraftedIn. We had our friends run
with us and to tell the truth, our bodies had issues the following day. And we thank God for such a successful event.

Our children were home for their holidays and it was a bit difficult and straining since we are still operating below our budget and had to incorporate lunch in our food budget but all in all we managed and never
went without food. I am appealing to you that you don’t seize making mention of us in your prayers as we look forward to a brighter day and great ways on how to meet and sustain our budget.

We had a visit from Nakuru skating club officials, who after engaging with our children offered to train them how to skate free of charge (they normally charge 300 shillings per session per child). They have
offered their skating boots for a while until we get our own and also print T-shirt for the ones selected to join their team. It is one of our objectives to invest in our children talents and gifting, those who joins this sport will require our support to equip them fully in case of competitions.

This month is also a month that we remember Nelly and her dedication towards children’s welfare. Please always keep in mind her precious memory of good work as we continue with the work she started. She will
always remains in our hearts and the lives of those she gave herself to serve. May she rest in perfect Peace.

This month we have a couple of things that have to be done….we will be renewing our van insurance and also take it for inspection. To allow us be able to take the children to school and also run errands this need
has been prioritized, we request that you be the instrument to spread this need across to the right people and make it one of your request before God. The amount required is 50,000 for insurance and 12,000 for inspection, totaling to 62,000 shillings (about $620)

This is a new month where our children go back to school for their second term curriculum. Keep them in your prayers that God may shower them with wisdom and understanding, favor and blessing as they continue with their studies. We will also be raising funds to settle their current term fees.

Our words can never be enough to express the joy you bring to us and the uncountable smiles that you put on our faces. Your donations ensures roof on our heads, light in our house and water to Quench our
thirst and many other things, I urge you not to grow weary of doing good for in due time God will reward your good works.

Last but not least, to all those who will be visiting us come July, we are looking forward to spending time with you and we pray for successful plans and a safe trip to Kenya.

Hugs and kisses from Haven,

Joseph
